1. What We Collect
None of the data below is sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. “Shown publicly” means other users of NewsKart, including people who are not signed in, can see it.

Everything marked optional can be avoided by not signing in. NewsKart is readable without an account; signing in is only required to post, comment, react, report, or sync saved stories across devices.
2. Security
All data is encrypted in transit. Account access uses Google Sign-In or a one-time email link — NewsKart never stores a password.
3. Deletion
You can edit or delete your own posts at any time from within the app, and deleting a post also deletes any photo or video attached to it. You can request full account and data deletion at any time; see our Account & Data Deletion page for how.
Reports you submitted about other content may be retained in our moderation records after your account is deleted, so that genuine safety reports can still be acted on.
4. User-Generated Content and Moderation
NewsKart lets users publish posts, comments, photos and videos. To keep that safe we provide, inside the app:
- Reporting on every post and comment, with a reason.
- Blocking of any account, which immediately hides all of their posts and comments from you. You can unblock from Settings.
- Automatic hiding of content that receives multiple reports, pending review.
- An automated safety check on photos before they are published. Videos are published immediately and reviewed afterwards.
Automated checks are not perfect. We may remove content or restrict accounts at any time.
